Millennium Update 2015 International Conference
On 25, 26, & 27th a successful International conference took place in Meril Institute (academy) Vapi, Balitha & hotel Deltin in Daman. This conference was on assisted reproductive technology (test tube baby), laparoscopy, Hysteroscopy & embryology. This conference was hosted by Nadkarni group of hospitals & 21st century hospitals & test tube baby centers Killa Pardi, Vapi, Valsad & Surat & Nadkarni Medical foundation along with Vapi Obstetric & Gynec society, the president being Dr. Jigna Garasia.
Dr. Kishore Nadkarni & Dr. Purnima Nadkarni who got educated from Mumbai K.E.M hospital & G.S. Medical College Parel, came to Killa Pardi 30 years ago to give gold standard hi tech treatment to Rural India. They fulfilled dream by building 6 small – big hospitals giving great services to rural population of South Gujarat. Their children are no less. Dr. Pooja eldest daughter who is a good IVF specialist, along with her husband Dr. Prabhakar who is an embryologist runs Surat centers successfully. Dr. Akshay a rising star of Nadkarni’s is a cancer surgeon & Laparoscopic surgeon along with his Gynec wife Dr. Aditi Nadkarni runs other centers in Killa Pardi, Vapi, Valsad. Dr Vaibhav is the youngest child of Nadkarni’s doing post-graduation studies in Gynecology. All the children are high achievers & also Marathon runners. Nadkarni’s have made world records on 11-11-11 delivering 11 IVF babies on one day & on 12-12-12 delivering 12 IVF babies.
On 25th from Nadkarni’s 21st century hospital Vapi & E class extension, 25 hysteroscopic surgeries were performed & shown live to all the 500 delegates who watched the live surgeries on 3 screens simultaneously in Meril academy, yet another great place for education. Simultaneously Dr. Kishore, Pooja, Aditi, Prabhakar, Dr. Sudesh performed live in vitro fertilization (test tube baby cases) in EVACARE fertility center which was observed by all the delegates. It is for the first time such a superb live surgical session has taken place in this part of the country. More than 500 doctors from all over the country, 170 national faculty & 3 International faculty trained the delegates.
On day 2 , 26th December it was yet another feast of Live laparoscopic surgeries & urogynec cases which was performed in 4 ultramodern & highly equipped operation theaters of 21st century Vapi , One theatre showed all 3 D operations which were appreciated by one & all delegates. Simultaneous instructions & deliberations were done by Dr. Purnima Nadkarni, Dr, Binal Shah, Dr. Nitin Shah & Dr. Asha Rao from Coimbatore in the Meril hall. 15 live major laparoscopic surgeries including female cancers were shown.
Dr. Robert Zurawin a world known laparoscopic surgeon from Houston USA , Dr. Osama Shawki a world known hysteroscopic surgeon from Egypt, Dr. Shailesh Puntambekar , a cancer & laparoscopic pioneer surgeon from Pune, Dr. Sanjay Patel ,Dr. Vineet Mishra, Dr.Nita Thakre from Ahmedabad, Dr. P. G. Paul from Kochi, Dr. Prakash Trivedi, Dr. Vivek Salunke, Dr. Nagendra Sardeshpande, Dr. Sanket Pisat from Mumbai, Dr. Abhijeet Mhaskar & Dr. Akshay Nadkarni from Valsad, Dr. Damodar Rao & Mallya from Coimbatore & many more were operating surgeons who all were very happy with the staff & operation theaters & all the anesthetists of Vapi, Valsad , Navsari , Dahanu & Surat. Dr. Kwang Moon Yang was an ART (IVF) specialist from Korea who talked on the problem of recurrent IVF failure & few solutions.
On 26th evening there was an inauguration ceremony, the chief guest being film star SONALI KULKARNI. She was very nice, humble & mixed well with doctors & spoke high about doctor’s profession. Mr. Hae Jae Park, CEO of L.G. Life science was the guest of honor along with Dr. Prakash Trivedi who is the president of FOGSI (Federation of Obstetricians & Gynecologists of India) who delivered oration on a difficult & controversial topic in endoscopy. Which was followed by a great Sofie night by Bhavin Shastri on whose tone almost all doctors danced & enjoyed hospitality of hosts.
Day 3, 27 th December was the conference in hotel Deltin with its nice ambiance. There were lectures, panel discussions, Key note addresses & Quiz, free papers, posters & interesting videos & prizes for winners. Great IVF specialist from Gujarat & all over India expressed their views on different subjects. All delegates went home happy & satisfied with the feast of Knowledge & live surgeries imparted in this small semi urban part of India. Meril academy & hotel Deltin was new & excellent venue for the delegates & everyone appreciated both.
